I worked in events for years, and eventually I became so worn out that I quit and started over in a new industry! Now, the events I host are either at home or through church and they’re ones I thoughtfully choose to bring to the table.
We all have only so much energy, and it’s important to use it on the things that will have the greatest impact! Below are a few cozy, literary fall events you can easily host with just one other person or a whole slew of friends!
Take the Scenic Route
Take a Sunday drive through the changing trees, bring your besties, and listen to a classic fall tale you all love! Bonus points if you bring along tea and pumpkin-flavored snacks.
Host a Book Club
There are so many classics that fit perfectly into fall! Take the questions and stress out of planning by using one of our book club kits, which includes everything you need to host a fun and engaging gathering.
Organize a Blind Date with a Book Exchange
Have everyone wrap up one of their favorite fall reads and exchange them without revealing the titles. Everyone leaves with a surprise book to add to their autumn TBR!
Go Bookshop Hopping
Gather your friends and start the day with a sweet pumpkin-flavored treat. Then hop from bookshop to bookshop until you find the perfect additions to your fall TBR shelves!
Host a Classic Murder Mystery Dinner Party
Invite your guests to solve a mystery just as Sherlock Holmes or Miss Marple would—and bring the spirit of a cozy fall mystery to life!
Create Literary Pumpkins
Carve or paint your favorite books, characters, quotes, or literary moments onto pumpkins!
I’m always a little sad when summer ends because it means saying goodbye to outdoor barbecues, pool parties, and beach trips. But finding new ways to bring people together especially my bookish gals is something I will always love to do!
I hope you find a special way to gather your crew and make memories together this fall.
